Make a burning laser out of a high power flashlight (1)

What is a laser? A laser is a coherent beam of man-made light that does not occur naturally. By using a conventional flashlight that has the internal components of an inexpensive modified laser pointer inside of it, you can demonstrate the power of a laser beam. From your modified "burning laser" high power flashlight will be powerful enough to burn a hole in paper at close quarters, the laser beam you will generate.

For preparing The Burning Laser: first you should put a sheet of newspaper on a work surface. And you should hold the green laser pointer at the back end, with your left hand. And you should hold the pliers in your right hand. Second you should clamp the jaws of the pliers around the front end of the green laser pointer. And you should twist the pliers to separate the front end of the green laser pointer from the back end. And you should pull the front end off with the pliers. Third you should clamp the jaws around the side of the laser assembly, now sticking out from the back end of the green laser pointer. You should pull the laser assembly out with the pliers. And you should put the laser assembly on the newspaper with the circuit board facing up. And you should insert the flat-edged jeweler's screwdriver into the screw on the circuit board. And you should burn the screw a quarter turn clockwise to increase the intensity of the laser diode. And you should heat up the soldering iron for five minutes. And you should touch the tip of the soldering iron to the computer chip above the screw. Fourth you should remove the tip of the soldering iron after 15 seconds has passed, to defeat the computer chips ability to limit the intensity of the laser diode. And you should solder a conductive pin to one of the two contacts on the bottom of the laser assembly. And you should let the solder cool for a minute. Solder the other conductive pin to the other contact on the bottom of the laser assembly. And you should let the solder cool for a minute.
